Why should I go to the British Virgin Islands?
The British Islands have some of the most spectacular Snorkel destinations such as the Indians, Caves, The Baths and much more… They are voted one of the Boating Meccas of the World. They offer Snorkel destinations, Bar Hopping and Sightseeing for 74 different islands. They are a must see while visiting St. Thomas and St. John!!!
When does my charter begin and end?
We’re flexible depending on your schedule, but usually it’s an 8 hour day. For example if you start at 8:30am your return time is 4:30pm.The boats are at different marinas depending on the boat you select, and w’ll let you know which marina to meet the boat at when you book. In some cases, we can pick you up at the beach at your hotel (depending on the hotel), and of course we can pick you up on St. John at the National Park dock.
Where do your charters go?
Although you have the boat to go anywhere you like we suggest several locations. Most of our trips are in British Virgin Islands, St. Thomas’s outer Islands, Megan’s Bay, or St. John. Including: Tortola, Norman Island, Peter Island, Cooper Island, Salt Island, Anegada, Culebra, Vieques, Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke, Soggy Dollar Bar, Foxy’s, The Baths, the Caves, Willy T and much more. Because of the distance and rough waters, we do not go to St. Croix.
Should we tip the Captain?
ABSOLUTELY!! For a excellent service and experience given, standard tip is approximately 15%-20% of your charter cost, much like the tip in a restaurant. (For example, if the boat rental was $600, a standard tip would be $120).
When and how do I pay for the charter?
Payment is due day of the charter. We will take a visa/MasterCard as a deposit but nothing will be will charged. Form of payment is cash, personal check, or visa/mastercard.
Are there additional costs?
Only additional cost will be if going to the British Virgin Islands. Their customs fees of $75 per person cash directly given to the captain day of the charter. Personal costs may be for lunch, shopping and beverages at bars.
What is the cancelation policy?
We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. We would like to receive a week notice if for any reason you need to cancel or reschedule. If you cancel your charter within 48 hours we will charge your credit card for the boat fee. There are always exception depending on the situation.
Bad weather protocol?
If on the day of the charter the captain feels it’s unsafe, rough conditions, or weather conditions unpleasant for boating he will contact you and either reschedule your charter or cancel the trip at no charge the morning of the charter.
Do you supply snorkeling equipment?
YES! We provide complimentary snorkel equipment, noodles, cooler full of ice, and beverages.
Do I need a passport to travel to the British Virgin Islands?
Yes! Everyone needs a valid passport or original birth certificates with ray seal.
Is the boat equipped with regulation safety equipment?
Yes! The boat is USCG certified for safety, hold current safety equipment, adult and children life jackets and every single boat is ocean worthy.
What should I bring on the boat?
Feel free to bring whatever beverages and snacks you like. Towels and non-aerosol, reef safe sunblock are very important.
